One of 3 young red tails out this morning in Slater Park Pawtucket, RI. Mom & Dad are still teaching them to hunt and Harry will be glad to know that squirrels are their favorites. This youngster was posing for a group of us early this morning.

Very nice capture Ray.. My wife always says the juvenile hawks are so "cute" I try and remind her that they grow up to be stone cold killers!

Thanks everyone for the comments. He was tough to follow but a real "ham" when he finally landed. The other shots I have were in the trees and I had no flash extender. I just waited until he got into good light. His siblings are just as beautiful but were uncooperative. I'm going to try again next weekend, if the weather is good
