Excellent captures. Those black birds are very hard to expsose for. :clap

We got these and I haven't got a decent exp yet :wxwax You done good :thumb
I like the second a little better, there's a drip of water that interests me and IMO the comp is better :thumb

Thanks guys.
Some of my firsts shots with the new 400 5.6 L. :lust I can't believe how fast the AF is on this lens, and it's light too!
Anyway, I must of taken about 40 shots of these birds and these are the only 2 that came out. The singing one, if you look close, the beak area is a lttle soft.
I like the second comp better too, I should probably try cutting the crop in more on the other and see how it looks.

Great shots. These birds have so much character and such a grat color.
And also a great opportunity to show what careful sharpeing can do for such a great in focus image.
