View Full Version : New Pro User - Why won't my galleries take on my customized headers/footers?

Hi! I'm a new pro user (yet, I am still using a trial) and am having fun with smugmug so far. I'm building out some galleries for my friends' website and have hit a snag.

I have utilized both the custom theme area and the customization area of control panel to get my homepage the way I want it:

http://camaraphotography.smugmug.com/

As you can see at the URL above, I have replaced the smugmug header by "hiding" it. I also created a custom footer area (that contains the logo and links to other parts of the website). You can also see that I have minimized the smugmug footer so that only the Powered By, Shopping Cart and copyright display.

Lookin' good, right? Where I'm having trouble is this:

http://www.smugmug.com/gallery/5186376_tZxNh

This is one of my galleries. I have the theme set to the custom one I created, but this page does not seem to be taking any of the items I set on the "customization" page in control panel. As you can see, my custom footer is not displaying and you see the largest smugmug footer available to use.

Any thoughts on this? In the gallery settings, I have chosen the appearance category to "custom".

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm still learning!

Thanks.

I think you have "hide owner" checked. Notice that the link is
www.sumgmug.com and not a domain or nickname. Also make sure
"custom" is checked for appearance.

Hi Al!

Thanks so much, that was exactly what I was doing - hiding the owner field. It works great now. I appreciate your quick response. Happy Smugmugging!
