Hey Y'all,

My site is www.tompotterphotography.com (http://www.tompotterphotography.com)

I am starting out. I have a couple of galleries with a few pics set up.
How do I set it up so that I have, maybe 4 representavive pics show on my Home Page?

Thank You,

Tom

Exactly, how do you mean? You could show 4 galleries in your featured box, and that would do it. Or did you wan tto do something else? :ear

Hey Andy,

Well, on my Home Page, you need to click on my "Galleries" button to see ANY of my pics. I want it so that, on my Home Page, I can have maybe 4 large pics, that will just give a taste of what I have in my Gallery. So that, my Home Page will be made up of my Nav Buttons and those 4 or whatever number of pics.

Thx,

Tom

Quick thought: One way to do it would be to put html in your bio text formatted to display the 4 images you desire -- instead of using the Shizam Slideshow. Or why not just use the Shizam Slideshow and display those same 4 images. Andy's site displays a NICE slideshow. Hope this helps a little...

I greatly appreciate the tip. However, I am not terribly HTML savy. How do I find the Shizam Slideshow? Easy to install?

Thx a Lot!

OK - Allen, I went to the link you gave me and entered the HTML that was there:

<html>
********>
var ssConfig = {
AlbumID: 'XXXXXX',
newWindow: 'false',
transparent: 'true',
splash: 'http://www.smugmug.com/img/ria/ShizamSlides/smugmug_black.png',
showLogo: 'false',
clickUrl: 'http://www.smugmug.com',
showThumbs: 'true',
showButtons: 'true',
crossFadeSpeed: '350'
};

SM.flash.insertSlideshow(600, 600, ssConfig, 'transparent');
</********
</html>

...and I replaced the red XXX's as described.

The slide slow does NOT show on my Home Page, AND, now, when I click on my Bio, I am prompted to enter a password, but it is not password protected.

Thx,

Don't see the code on your site, you remove it? Hard to troubleshoot without
see in it. Are external links on in the show source gallery?

It is in my Bio gallery, in Customization, under Extras, and then under Description. That's where I understood the instrux said to put the code. Perhaps I've got it in the wrong spot.

I found your show in the about gallery description. That where you want it
and not on your homepage?

this number seems way too big for a gallery number, sure it's not a photo number? Might be why it's asking for PW.
AlbumID: '252612967',

But I'm thinking you really want it on your homepage in the bio. In your
control panel under the homepage tab look for your bio and click show to move it
to your homepage. This is the bio box if you want the show there, so move
the code to that box.

OK - Now I have the slide show - but, how do I get rid of the still pics above the slide show?

OK - have all that entered in, and those identical, Still pics still show on my Home Page, along with the slide show. So, I need some way to have those Still photos removed from the home page.

And, I still get the password message when I click on "About Me"

Kinda confused here, Bio button? Are you referring to the "about me" page? I
see a slideshow there also, must be in the gallery description.

You can add all the text you want in the gallery description instead of the
show code.
