I know it needs work, but where to start?

it looks like you didn't crop the right fully leaving a sliver of something dark because you wanted to keep the chain. the chain looks a bit blurry. the light and different textures and many walls are interesting but the highlights are blown out. I think you could improve the composition by moving a bit more to the right when taking the shot and having less of the top wall in the photo
