I'm surprised that I'm the first to post about it here. Yesterday Apple announced that OSX 10.4 "Tiger" will be on shelves April 29th.

You can pre-order it now through Apple. Amazon has a $35 rebate on it. If you are lucky, like me, you can get the educational discount and it only costs $69.

I thought about posting...then got busy with work.

I have to say I am extremely excited about this. Not only is the OS going to be fantastic, but the main app I use, Final Cut Pro is going to benefit in a huge way from the changes in 10.4. It's going to be a hugely important upgrade to me. Along with Dashboard, Spotlight, Automator...man, I can't wait.

Yeah, FCP should be updated soon too..man, 64-bit video editing! :huh
