This past Sunday I went for a hike at the local Audubon Center. While hiking this little bugger became interested in me and landed on my arm. Stayed there for almost 5 min. too.

Good shot but you cheated. :nono Staying on your arm, give me a break. I can't get them to stay on a frigging flower for 5 seconds and he stays on your arm for five frigging minutes. It's just not fair. :cry

Nice clear shot. It wouldn't have stayed on my arm, I would have screamed.

A monarch might be a different story.

Like Harry, I can't get them to come near me, let alone land on my arm and sit awhile :rolleyes Guess you must be a sweet person, unlike us :lol3 :lol3 Hey, we may be sour, but we're grumpy too :lol

Thanks for sharing,
Steve

Great shots! I'm with the other posters, they always flutter far far away when I spot them. That's awesome that the first one landed on your arm for that long. The second pic is superb, beautiful colors! Last one is sweet too. Hmmm, makes me wanna go butterfly huntin'.

Moths are kind fo fun to capture. They usually won't hold still for five minutes. Was is cool out that day? They do like Sedum in the summer though

I could not figure out what they were when first saw them - they buzz like a hummingbird and the wings are so fast they seem invisible
