When building slideshow settings in the homepage (created in the bio section), how do you increase the timer between slides? Is there a parameter used specifically for this? Any help would be greatly appreciated! The crossFadespeed parameter is only used to increase or decrease the transition speed between slides, but I'm looking for the parameter used to make the actual slides change by a different amount, say every 10 seconds for example.

I don't believe there is any way to do this right now. I believe that the ability to specify timing between slides has been requested before, but you could add your request to the feature request thread (sticky in the Smugmug Support forum) just in case.

Hi Denise, thank you for your response. I asked their "helpdesk" last night and their response confirmed what you wrote:
Sorry, at this time we don't have a way to increase the slide duration. I'll pass on your comment to the slide show developer as a feature request.

Is this on the user's/viewer's end or can it be customized in CSS?

Is this on the user's/viewer's end or can it be customized in CSS?For the built-in homepage slideshow option, it's a parameter you pick in the settings page when configuring the slideshow in your own page. For the custom slideshow, it's a parameter you set in your slideshow definition. You can set the speed value or let the viewer set the speed value. It takes seconds to try it out yourself on your own homepage to see how it works. Just enable the homepage slideshow in the homepage layout button. Then, click the slideshow settings link.
