For the love of "Egret Fest"

Here are two for the egret lovers (and maybe egret haters :-)
As always, I welcome and encourage critique / comments on my images

Sometimes it is a great challenge to get a white bird to show all it's feather detail photographing it in direct sunlight but, this one came out alright, yes?

This next one was on a rooftop overlooking a tourist boardwalk.
Probably wondering what all the fuss is about down there :-)

Two good ones Mark. I especially liked the backlit one. I know from experience that's not an easy one to capture effectively and you did a great job on it. :thumb

in the first one, watch the bg, the coastline bg detracts imo, cutting through his head.

You are right! I have a second shot (not posted) that addresses the background level. I had to stand on the boardwalk railing to get my perspective (in the corrected image) right so that his head would appear under the tree line.
