Here are a couple of shots of the caterpillers of two moths which are mainly to be found in the UK and Europe. Both shot with a 40D and Tamron 90 f2.8 macro.
The first, Scarlet Tiger, Callimorphia Dominula, becomes a rather lovely red, black and white moth, and I have attempted to get the whole in focus.
The second, The Drinker, Euthrix potatoria, becomes a rather dreary brown moth and I have focussed to show the head detail.
