I just finished reading the posts and visiting all of your great pages in the "Cobranding samples?" thread. Gave me a lot of ideas.

The one thing I didn't see were any paypal links. I was thinking in addition to using the printing service offered by smugmug that by using paypal I could offer additional print sizes and services.

Does anyone use paypal? I know paypal offers HTML buttons that link to them. What are some ways to use the links? Shopping cart?

Thanks for any help.

Thanks for any help.I have not tried it, but I know there is no way to merge the paypal cart and the smugmug shopping cart. You should be able to add the paypal html to areas of your galleries that allow for html. You end up with two payment streams, not the greatest solution, but it should work. A bit tedious to set-up though, especially if you have tons of images.

Sorry, I can't be more helpful.

Cheers

Don,

I agree two payment streams may not be the best, but.....
I don't want to go all paypal, would loose the print service, and there is no way to have Smugmug collect for other services.

Thanks for the reply.

You can use HTML in your photo captions, and put paypal buttons in them.

The multiple payment stream is my way of life!

1. I fill stock orders from pbase with paypal invoices and certified check.
2. I sell prints from some of my sites with the typical paypal dropdown buttons and cart.
3. I sell automated digital downloads, odd print sizes and gifts through a digital download script It accepts paypal, money order, bank transfer and twocoms for cc.
4. I sell domain names and hosting on my hosting sites via third party cc processor and funds deposit straight to the bank.
5. Smugmug revenue straight to bank account.

It's hard to keep the transactions and money straight, but I also see no other way at this point. I'm going to add buttons to the smugmug site to take folks to my digital download program which covers downloads and print sizes and gifts that smugmug does not offer. I see no other easy way of offering the full array of products other than doing the paypal thing.

Multiple payment streams is the word of the day, I think. I have been making the pitch at a couple sites for the all inclusive solution, but so far no luck yet.

Good luck and have a great day.
