View Full Version : Birds at the feeders

Tried a 70-200L f4 with a Quantaray 2x and a Tamron 1.4x stacked on a
D Rebel 300. This combo would AF, but not on the center point. So I used
the point just to the left, and for a few shots, I think I had all the points on.

It works OK for closer things, but after about 20 feet, the pics aren't
very good. The birds on the feeders where shot through a window.

Amazing clarity, really nice. I hope to be able to achieve that some day.Thanks Sandy. I just try to get what I want in focus, and let the camera
do the rest. Well there may be a bit more to it.:D

Just a note. Lately I've been using Photoshop Elements 2 for my post processing.
I'm really impressed with what that program can do.
(It's the one that came with the camera)

Thanks. We put out a suet feeder (for woodpeckers) this winter, but the only
thing eating from it was a squirrel. The little woman gave me a hummingbird
feeder for Xmas. I'm not sure when to put it out, but we'll probably do it soon.
