Over the dam
A neat shot I took the other night at the dam looking for eagles.

Hmm
I would say from one side of the frame to the other is about 3 feet. It was shot hand held at 500mm from about 30 feet away.

I just wish the minimum focusing distance was less.

Wow, that's a great shot, you really get a sense of the form. I'm gonna try and get one like that! You know what they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
hoping this message finds you well -Ian

Submit this one to KPotD and I'll bet they take it. You get bonus points here for a KPotD with no baby animals, children, kittens, puppies, flowers, or national sports. Abstract is worth at least double. (Making it up as I go along,) But do enter it. It's great and they'll like it on their web page and sign.

Thanks for all of your comments. I am glad you like it. I took your advice and submitted it.
We'll see but I will not get my hopes up.
There is not much chance of catchin up with Andy or Rutt but another KPOTD for any Dgrinner would be great.

How big is the filter thread for your Bigma? Extension tubes can help you focus closer of course. A 500D macro filter adapter might work if your filter thread size is 77mm.

86mm
and filters for it are... uh... pricey.
