Here is an effect I was working on to try and give that morning glow look. Does it work?

Cooperative indeed. I saw a Robin here the other day but it was deep in the shade, I didn't even try to shoot it. Very nice but I think I like #1 better. #2 gives the bird a yellowish green tint on the face on my monitor.

Wonderful shot! The detail is phenomenal. I think I like number 1 too. Number 2 looks just a bit washed out, but only in comparison to number 1. If you had just posted number 2, I probably would not even have noticed.

Sometimes I wonder if my gear is performing up to snuff...then I take a shot like this one and realize it is I who suck! :rofl

Beautiful Robin
If you want to change the light a bit you could change your WB to cloudy or shade and see what you get.(hope you shoot raw)
However you can do things in ACR from PsCS3 with jpg, tiff
Playing in PSCS3 you han change the hue.
Many things can be done.
Go play and have fun.

I like both renditions although each one does seem to affect the viewer differently: the second one produces a feeling of warmth and calm.
Great capture Ric :thumb
