Backyard visitor during last weekend's yard cleanup. Likes to stay by our pond in the rock pile. Taken by my wife with her D40 & 55-200 lens

Oh, I live to catch a Garter snake on a tree to photograph. I've only ever seen them on the ground!

Nice captures. Would like to have seen more of him (stem to stern), as well. :thumb

Nice Photo - Saw the title and instantly got Tom T Hall's song Sneaky Snake in my head. I haven't heard that song since I was a kid in the 70's.

Thanks for bringing back the fond memories.

If you are not aware of the song, there's one on youtube.

Thanks for the comments. I'll have to see if he will model for a "stem to stern" photo. He usually shows up when my wife is on her hands and knees putting down mulch. Ever seen a woman walk on air?
