I noticed recently that my background image on my homepage has dissapeared and the color has changed from pure black to dark grey. I haden't changed any of my settings so it was surprising to me. I looked at my customization panel and nothing has changed. I can't seem to change the background colors or add a background image to my homepage no matter what I do. Help?

Hi, read this thread:
http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=92812
and try switching your default theme to gradient grey, for example.
Let us know?
Also, you are using the old slideshow, 1year old version,
/*=========================*/
/*== SLIDE SHOW ==*/
/*== version 0.58 ==*/
/*== Updated 15 Mar 2007 ==*/
/*=========================*/
and this was dropped by the developer from support back in Oct 07.
Update to the new Shizam Slideshow, it's very easy :)
http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=73247 all the info there and post any questions on the slideshow there, too.

Ok, worked on this issue all day and it's really bugging me now.
Changing the default theme does nothing to my homepage, only the galleries. I've tried a bunch of different ones. The homepage stays the same no matter what.
So I thought it might have to do with the old slideshow I have and I switched to the new slideshow you mentioned. Now I have no slideshow AND my homepage BG still doesn't show. I thought that I might have set up the slideshow incorrectly but I went to see if OTHER people's slideshows worked.. nothing. Moonriverphotography.com just shows a menu and that's it. No slideshow. None of the sample websites show up for me. BUT only in Firefox (they work in IE) However, I don't want a certain % of my visitors to see a blank screen so I put the old slideshow back up.
Now I'm back where I started.

You had your homepage set to SmugMug Gradient- using the themes button I switched to Default and you're all set now :thumb
