View Full Version : Back lighting on the D200 top LCD?

I swear, I didn't think there was a back light on it. When I got it cleaned and got it back from the store I turned it on a few times and there was a nice green back light. I loved it but it's not there all the time.

Ugh.

Am I crazy?

You are not crazy.

Please read the bottom of page 5 in your manual. The power switch is also known as the illuminator switch. Rotating the switch to the light position will temporarily illuminate the LCD panel.

There's also a way to make it illuminate every time the camera goes into active mode. That's how I have mine setup.

Don't have the manual in front of me now. But I'm sure you can find it w/ Mitchell's post.

I wish it stayed on all the time, would make night shots much easier.

It can. You dont read your manuals much, do you? ;p.Can you show me where this is at in the manual? The only option I've ever read is the the backlight stays on when the eposure meter is active.
