well at least for me it is! im not used to gettting this sharpnes / clarity. new lens 400 mm f5.6

Boy, you ain't kiddin. That is sharp. I think I could probably see every plant cell in the lichen on the wood at full size. Above the sharpness, is your capture, and its composition. Top drawer stuff, Troy. :thumb

i like your pics - the 400mm is indeed sharper but i find I have to "work" a little more to get as many keepers.....

Really nice shot buddy, I'm really happy for you :thumb :thumb I just love the sharpness Daniella gets with this lens (wide open, no less :uhoh ). Looks like you have a very sharp copy too :clap :clap I'll be expecting some killah waterfowl shots (egrets/herons/cranes) from you in the near future :wink Hawks or eagles would be fine too.....lol

thanx steve - I could not even begin to imagine how to capture a BIF. By the time i get my lens in the general vicinity the bird is way gone. Nevermind worrying about what settings to use. I think im gonna be a bird in the bush kinda guy for awhile....
