Prevent Anonymous Comments and Force Name?

Is there a way to not allow anonymous guestbook / gallery comments? Some option to require a name or at least remind the person that the name will show up as "guest" if you they leave it blank? I don't really care if they just put Shaq or some sillyness. But seeing a "guest" seems a bit disconcerting.

Hi, there isn't. But you can force comment approval, by going to your control panel, settings tab and choosing comments - then enable the tickbox for comment approval. You'll then have the option to approve or delete comments :thumb

yup... i already did that. it's not that i'm worried about negative or inappropriate comments. but i'd like to encourage people to not post anonymously. any chance that could be more prominent or added as an option?

any update on this? Part of the fun of uploading photos is to be able to receive comments from friends/family. And no, I am not asking for another facebook clone, just a decent commenting system.

if there's an update, i still haven't heard it... bump bump bump... what's so hard about preventing anonymous or forcing a user to choose anonymous. i highly doubt most of my anonymous comments are intentional.
