very new at this

Hi I am very new at this whole website thing, and am looking for a little help, your tutorials are great and i have seem to follow all of them prefectly.......Except the galleries tab on the nav bar. When i hide it from the home page I hide it from the nav bar? what am i doing wrong?:scratch
