i just want to share my new (old) smugmug site, mostly with users who do not believe the customization is endless on smugmug ....
I'm really flash rookie and my web skills are pre-school level, but I think although my GF was not happy that I spent so much time playing with this, it did not turn out bad.

That's different, for sure :thumb
Two things; One, for some reason it is very counter-intuitive to have to doubleclick the images on your home page to get to the galleries, I think a single click would be much better.
Two, please put back to 'powered by/portions copyright SmugMug' back on the page. They have to remain visible :thumb

It's interesting, but...
If Ivar hadn't said something about double-clicking an image to enter the site I would not have figured out the site entry trick.
While I can see that you had fun with flash, I don't believe that the implementation is a good entry to your site. Entry to your galleries needs to be intuitive and quick. With your current home page the only point of navigation, to switch to a different category the viewer needs to go back to the flash screen and try to find the categories.
If you want to keep the flash entry to the site, at least post a navbar on the rest of the site so your viewer doesn't need to fight the flash to find your photos.

thank you both for the comments :bow , I spent some fun time with flash (I'm really flash rookie), changed the layout and got rid of the double-click and put the footer back.

Much better... I like it. It's simple, yet it's not.
