Forgive me if this is a dumb question but I'm new to smugmug.
I signed up for the 14 day trial of thr pro account. So far, I thinkI like it and I'll probably go ahead and pay for a pro account.
My question: I'm a sports/action photographer, so i would like to have my front page have a list of catagories( baseball, football etc...) . I would like to set it up so my customer could click the "baseball" catagory, then get a page with more catogories such as League A, League B and so on. They click on the league they are looking for and then get a page with a gallery for each team/division within the league.
It seems like I should be able to do this. Am I just braindead? Or, do I need to pay before I can do this?
Thanks

It all depends on how many levels you want. Smug is set for only three
levels. Throw together some kind of organizational tree and we'll see if it
can be done somehow.
example with more then 3 levels but can be done with a little html
baseball
League A
team1
game1
game1
team2
League B
team1
game1
game1
team2
football
League A
League B
team1
game1
game1
team2
soccor
League A
League B
The example above would require creating links/thumbs in your bio
like this page (http://allen-steve.smugmug.com/gallery/3539056_ZkcLB) which would be links to your categories. Then each category
can have sub-categories for your leagues. err might need one more page
like that for another level then the leagues would be cats and teams sub-cats.

Something pretty close to what you have there.
Baseball
League A
Junior Boys (division)
Team
Or, i could do this...
Baseball
League A
Junior boys Reds
Junior boys Dodgers
Junior Boys Yankees
This way would only be 3 levels right? I wouldn't need any HTML customization.

Been thinking how and this is some of the rattling on in thoughts. Should be fairly easy to create and we'll help.
So on the homepage would be the sports type thumb/link to a gallery for
each league/sport.
The league gallery page thumbs would be category links. Then Smug takes
over and for each thumbs open the subcats of the teams. Each subcat will
have that teams galleries.
football
league a
team 1
game 1 << gallery
The football thumb on homepage opens a links page with all the football
cats, league a , league b, ...
Then each league thumb cat link opens page with team subcats.
So you would use the bio for the sports thumbs.
And an html gallery for each sport showing leagues.
O O O O << sports (homepage) each link to different sport league page
|
O O O O << leagues (each a different category) (html type gallery) each links to subcats
|
O O O O << teams (each a different subcat) (normal sub cat page)
O O O O
|
O O O O << games
