I shot these over the last 2 weeks. These Buffleheads are fast. Never realized how quick they were until I tried to catch one in flight. The Lady WD I was lucky to catch under some early sun, and her colours really showed up. The Woody was hammering away on the snag looking for a lady friend I believe....Don

Good shootin! :clap I was just marvelling at how damn fast ducks go in flight the other day. For birds that look like they are doing a whole lot of flapping in a seemingly inefficient manner they really gun! We started calling them the mach 8 ducks!
