Caught this fella today in the spring sunshine. 20D & 100mm Macro

Took over 100 shots in flight and this was the only good one, need more practice.

All three shots are pretty nice but #3 is a winner.

I have been trying to get flight shots for many different kinds of insects , it takes a lot of patience. Thanks for your comments.

Now Spring is here the 100mm will get more use. Time to focus on the eyes!

i took many bumble bee shots today - not one a keeper! so what advice do you have? yours are very sharp detailed, im using the same equip but mine are blurry ..... what Shutter speed do you have to get up to ???

Had to play a lot with the f stop and shutter speed. I think these were f 16, 105 macro, 1/500....
