I mean compared to Hiroshima, where I have been living for the last 10 years, they really are! My second day out on the river and here are a few samples of what I got. Comments welcome.

First, there were a few headless birds...

looks like you are having fun --is it real overcast ? and what iso are you using in most of the shots ?

Thanks Jeff, I am having fun indeed! It is that light kind of hazy overcast that lets some shadow through but not a clear distinct shadow. But then it clears for moments and gets very dark for moments. Quite different shot to shot. I think I had the ISO set to auto (limited to max of 800) that day, so many of them were around 400 I think.
