I submitted this in color in the Emotion contest but didn't get many comments. I thought I would try it in B&W and see what you thought.:confused

I think it's a fine shot. The river's a nice compositional element that holds the whole thing together and leads the eye thru the shot. The exposure is spot-on. And it absolutely works in B&W, particularly because of the snow.

I reckon the reason it didn't get much comment is that it's missing that impossible-to-define magic element that makes a shot standout. it needs a story, or an atmosphere... a little something extra to put it over the top.

Which is not to suggest that it's a bad shot, 'cause it isn't.

No, just kidding. Slammers I think this is a very nice shot. I find myself staring at it and enjoying it very much.
