i have my header on my homepage but i want to change it to a pretty script ot calligraphy but when i enter that font , it won't change it. please help. thanks:dunno

Your browser (and everyone elses) has to support the font you're trying to make it... and chances are it won't. You might be better off making a banner image with the font you would like and adding that instead.

Remove the underline form your CSS

You can add as many fonts you want to this but visitors will need to have
the font loaded on their machine to see it. See safe fonts here (http://typetester.maratz.com/).

is there an easy tutorial on making a banner. i have never done one before

You could follow the basic steps for a transparent banner using this tutor (http://dgrin.smugmug.com/gallery/1690196) for
creating a watermark. Otherwise just create a jpg about 600-800 wide and
about 50-100 tall. Try to keep the file size well below 100k so it loads quickly.
