I am not sure where to put this script..... I am trying to verify my google webmaster tools.


Copy the meta tag listed below and paste it in your site's home page in the first <head> section of the page, before the first <body> section

can anyone help?

I have mine placed in the "head tag" section of my customisation screen. Google successfully verifies the tag in this location.

I did that and it said...

We encountered an error looking up your site's domain name. (http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=35638&hl=en)

Looks like the code is on your page just fine. Try giving them your http://whatever.smugmug.com address instead of your custom domain name.
