After my buttreflies experience and considering tha fact that I had with me by mistake my 75-300mm DO, I thought it would be a good idea to try and shoot some birds.
I didn't find any egrets or other big guys like you have in America, but some nice and very cute little birds were all arround.
Actually, it was the first time for me to shoot little birds and I must say taht I enjoyed it very much.

Beautiful shots, Moti. I find the biggest problem with small birds is with the very small DOf it's hard to focus on a bird that's not contrastry and get the branch instead. I use spot focus on the eyes if possible. You did a great job on these.

Thank you very much Allen. I did use spot focus but on the body, which I figure out later, was a mistake. I should have aimed for the eyes as you suggested. I'll try it next time.

Really nice Moti :thumb :thumb
These may not be large birds, but they sure are nice looking and in most cases very colorful :clap I'm glad you enjoyed shooting them. Small birds are very challenging. Focusing on the eye(s) can be very hard to do, especially with a long (heavy) lens attached. All in all, I think you did very well on these and I hope it inspires you to shoot more birds :D
Thanks for sharing,
Steve

I agree, I shoot a lot of small birds and you have done a pretty good job with these.

Thank you Steve and Greaper for your comments. Indeed this was very challenging for me especially for the focusing problems and the fact that these little creatures move very quickly.
Anyway, I learned a few things from this trial and will try to get better for the next time.
Cheers
