How to place content on the sides of smugmug [Sitemap]

I'm using the "stock" layout width for my homepage and "smugmug small" for the galleries. Lots of valuable space left open on each side (up and down). How can I add items here? Specifically a 160x600 skyscraper so I can promote amazon affiliate items.
