I was just in Beijing and spent one evening wandering around the beautiful and historic campus of Peking University with my 20d and wonderful 17-55 EF-S f2.8 IS. The lens acquitted itself extremely well, with many nice handheld shots at very long exposures. A few shots that I was really proud of are below. This is a picture of Boya Pagoda, which is actually a water tower, with some nicely arranged tree branches in the foreground:
