This firmware update (version 1.2.1) includes the following additional functons and improvements:

Three new languages (Russian, Traditional Chinese, and Korean) added to the camera menus.
Improvement in communication reliability when using some CF cards.
The issue of communication failure between the camera and some personal computers has been fixed.

This firmware update applies to cameras with firmware version up to 1.1.0 installed. If your camera's firmware is already version 1.2.1, it is not necessary to perform this update.

Answered my own question: this firmware update includes all the previous ones.

Q : Are the previous version of firmware included in version 1.2.1?

yes, and i betcha you were waiting to put your menus in traditional chinese, weren't you?

i had a cell phone not long ago, that my kid got ahold of, he fiddled with the buttons, put it in korean, and couldn't get it back to english... :lol3

I also think they released a 1Ds mkII firmware update too.
