Just returned from a week in Florida to shoot college baseball. 9 games in 6 days and over 8,000 shots. Games went from 9:00am to 11:00pm in bright sun and partly cloudy skys and crappy night lights. Backgrounds at these fields are difficult at best as you can see in the first and last shot, but I did what I could to minimize them.
Virtually all shots were with a Mark IIN and 300/2.8 with and without a 1.4TC. and a 20D with 70-200/2.8. ISO's anywhere from 250 to 3200, shutter speeds as high as I could get away with, normally 1/3200s to 1/8000s. Because of the constantly changing light most were shot in Av with +2/3 EC.

#8 This was a whole sequence of shots on a hard hit grounder that the 2nd baseman made, threw the guy out at 1st.
