Hi, is there an easy way to hide a large number of photos in a gallery?

Perhaps a different way to solve your problem that accomplishes the same viewer result?

Create a new unlisted gallery (it won't show for the public). Then do a bulk move of the desired images to an unlisted gallery. In one screen, you can select all the images you want moved and then bulk move them.
