Single Image on home page?

Can anyone tell me how to get a single image to display on my home page under my navbar...not a gallery of images, just a single image.

I already have a header imahe that I want to remain as well.

I have been trying to find info on this without success.

Thanks for that...but all I can manage to get is a gallery thumbnail. I just want a single photo.

I managed to work around it by adding two banners...but now I have two banners on all my pages...

Is there a way to get what I want?
