I do not like using the flash on birds ,I do it but not very often and then a bounce or very low .I think you can with watching get a good shot in the wild without flash .What do you think :scratch

this was in the tree and with a lot of moving around got only a small view with out logs in front of me .I found it to be a fun shot but sure wish the *&^^& bird would have helped out a bit and moved into the clear just ONCE

:clap :clap great color on the hummer, just out of curiosity.. what was the shutter speed? I have not had the pleasure of photographing humming birds yet.

I like both shots too much to pick between them, the hummingbird is just fantastic, and I love the "hat" that the parrot seems to be wearing!

Awesome shot on the hummingbird! I don't like using flash for hummingbirds. I find the best time is late afternoon, early evening as the light is coming more from the horizon so it light up there little bodies.

It does have a kind of Carmen Miranda thing going there, doesn't it? :rofl

Very nice, Jeff! I love the hummingbird shot, and the slightly blurred wings, in my opinion, adds the perfect amount of action. Where did you take these?

Beautiful!! :clap :thumb

Awesome shot on the hummingbird! I don't like using flash for hummingbirds. I find the best time is late afternoon, early evening as the light is coming more from the horizon so it light up there little bodies.you got it but if you watch were they are feeding you can shoot them all but about 12 to 2 and I try all day just to see what effect the light will give .But for most keepers you is right on :thumb

:rofl Sweet!

I went and asked at my camera shop about it yesterday. They had heard nothing about it here in Japan. I didn't take the camera in but was just passing by. IS this something that is likely to be fixed with a firmware update if Nikon decides to do something about it?
