besides the BIF, they're a little over exposed... did you shoot in raw? seems fixable. Ducks are such a crapshoot eh? i go to the duckpond on campus quite a bit, some good, some bad.

Me confused. What does the extra B stand for? Blurry? It isn't that bad is it?

I removed the first one, which wasn't over exposed but me going overboard with the white in selective color and unsharp mask.

I'm not seeing the overexposure in the other two, could you elaborate more?

Nice series of duck shots :thumb :thumb Like Troy, I really like the BIF (or BBIF) shot. Love those purple wing feathers :clap

As far as exposure, run your eye dropper over the tail feathers. Or, view the histogram. I think you will find +255 readings and a spike at the right limit on the histogram. This means that you have blown out the exposure in this area and possibly lost any detail that might have been present :dunno

Not to worry, as Doc pointed out, ducks (or any birds that are dark and have white areas) can be tough to properly expose. The light has to be just right, or you can use a fill flash, or shoot RAW and then adjust in post processing.

Thanks for sharing,
Steve

Ah, looking at the tail feathers I see what you mean. Thanks. As usual this site is great for learning.
