Slideshow border options?

Hi guys,

I've done Ivar's navbar/header/slideshow/galleries page tutorial and it's all good. Thanks for that Ivar.

Now I want to tweak. Is there a discussion here somewhere that shows what CSS options there are for changing the borders (width, color, etc.) around the slideshow? For snugging the slideshow up tighter under the navbar?

I added the code in Ivar's tutorial.

I appreciate that you'd be willing to suggest code specific to my site, Allen, but I'm sort of looking for a place where there's generic advice, some guidelines about how to tweak borders, if such a place exists, so that I can learn as I work through it.
