Nice composition on the T&I's and you've got some great action.
But you need to fix the white balance.

WB is tough in rinks because the lights cycle so you may have to do each one
separately.

thanks Ian, we appreciate the comments. what is t&i? you will have to help on the wb, these are all custom balanced, maybe my eyes are just getting tired.

we do a custom balance directly off the ice, we rebalance, at least 3 times during every game, there certainly are difficulties in shooting off the ice, the arena we are shooting at has very professional lighting, one of the rinks is the practice facility for the NHL, washington capitals. so if you see a tint problem or whatever, give us some help. we have no problem rebalincing.

Take a look at your first image. Do you see the pink tone? More than likely,
it's from the lights cycling. Unfortunately, in these situations, you can set
a custom WB and seconds later, it's wrong.

Using the skate and jersey, I set the white, gray and black using a layer
mask in PS. Here's the result. Do you see the pink cast? It's been reduced
considerably.

thanks Ian, we do see a slight amount of magenta on the bottom of the boards. m eyes and my assistants cannot see any other major toning problem. Unfortunately you are correct about the lights. My goal in shooting is to get our work as sharp, toned and contrasted as possible out of the camera, backgrounds as clean as possible. We are shooting wide open so the DOF is what the camera and lens gives us. These shots are from above the glass, we use a platform. Faces, pucks, action, contact, etc. are the goal of the shots. The wb will be corrected by our graphic person. Thanks for the help, as we shoot in this arena often and you only see the pink in some shots, then we need to add back some opposite color and hope for the best.
