Boy, do I really love this camera. The great fit and feel of the K10D with all the improvements that have been described (new 14.6 MB CMOS sensor, enhanced SR, live view, etc.). You know what I really like that I haven't seen mentioned in any reviews, the more robust wheel to select the shooting mode!

The shots are all basically right from the camera. A couple were cropped and the DNG RAWs were converted to jpg via ACR. Regretfully, I'd taken a number before I realized I didn't have it set to RAW.

Here are a few sample photos and there are more for viewing at the gallery.

Regards,

John

Hehehe. I'm in a similar boat - an avid Olympus user. We "other guys" can hold our own:thumb

Very nice! Any chance you can do a few low-light higher iso shots?
After selling my 30D I've been without a dSLR for a while now (and without time to use one so I've survived) but I was seriously considering the k10 at one point and it looks like they made some real improvements to the k20.

Thanks for sharing. I really like the one of the bird. I'm sure the K20D is in my future.

Congratulations John. :clap

Looks to be a wonderful addition. Any comments about the new "Shake Reduction" system?

Have you tried ISO 3200 or 6400 yet?

How about the "Expanded Dynamic Range" mode?

This camera has an awfull lot to offer.

Hi All,

Thanks for the responses. I haven't done any high ISO shots yet but will try to take some this week and post for review.

It's good to see there are other non C&N folks here! :thumb
