Hi all,
OK, here goes my initial entry here! I'll try not to cry!
I shot this last Sunday at Bridal Veil Falls in the Columbia River Gorge using a Nikon D3, Nikkor 24-70, polarizer. f22, 1.6 secs, ISO 100, D-lighting on high. Minimal post processing in CS3.

I really like this. What I think is special is the "entry" of the moving stream at the top of the frame. There's a real feeling of spray and energy, as if the stream is pouring through a narrow gorge into the frame. I'll leave it to others to help you improve it. I'm not that accomplished.

This is very nice. Only suggestion might be to go even softer with the exposure if you have the light available.
I have dragged my tripod all over that gorge .... :D

Nice ! :clap I like the exposure as is. It's got that mystical look but still enough clarity for the water to have some body.

Thanks folks....
What I liked was getting some highlights on water in the foreground, but not too much direct light. I think that made it a bit different for a waterfall shot.

A nice composition but i feel its over sharpened a tad perhaps ? Maybe just how im seeing it but im seeing some grain that looks like it may be caused by too much sharpening.

I feel much better after my first whippping....:roflI'll try less USM on a repost. As I told quark I can't do much about prolonging the exposure unless I add a ND filter.

Please put it back so others looking at it later'll see what the discussion's about and learn from it.
Thanks!
