High School Sports Photography

We are wanting to go into the high schools and do team and action photos. Right now we do work with children's sport leagues but not with schools. We are wondering if photographers usually charge to come and do team photos or do they just make the profit on the packet sales? I know a lot of companies give percentages back to the league as an incentive to use them, we usaully give 10% back and do action shots of championships then put them online to sell. If anybody has experience with this we could use the info.
