I came across this site the other day and thought what a better way to show my kids what happens to all the injured and sick birds that people come across here in our area.

We ventured out early this morning and came across all of these guys. I guess you could say that the eyes have it.

Some have been shot, some have been caught up in fishing line, hooked, hit by cars. This place nurses them back to health and then releases them back into the wild. Short on staff due to the holiday today so we could not get a tour of the facilities but I will be taking the kids back sometime in the near future for that. The great thing about this is that it's free for anyone to come in and see what they do, to get educated on the harm that we are causing these beautiful birds.

I love these birds. I really like the good captures on the eyes. The last one especially is catching. One thing that nags me about some of them, including that last one and the bird with the white and blue, is that I can't see all of their beaks. Still, really awesome shots! Keep it up. Thanks for sharing.

What a great place and what a fine series of pics:clap :clap :clap

The eye is the most important part of a bird o capture and your shots demonstrate that very well. Good work. :thumb
