I like it. Unusual subject, but interesting to me. I like the rust and the old keys. It would go well with a wider shot showing some more context.

I'm joining Chris with his interest in the rusted key.
That one key out of all those that are visible is just totally consumed by rust, why is that?

The padlock itself looks in pretty good nick, as does the chain,
even though it shows small amounts of rust in the joining bends.

Even though the Padlock is the main subject and is sharp and in focus,
my curiosity remains with that one Rusted Key in the background :nod

Good shot Jim :thumb ... Skippy :D

Good Morning & Thank you :thumb
I believe I can reshoot that picture a bit wider. As for the rusty key, it may be non galvanized metal that was used.
Have a good day :D

Sorry Folks,
The lock, chain & keys were moved. Not sure where they are now :cry
I'll take a look around and see if I can locate them :thumb

I like this photo. I like rusty objects and junk. In fact, I think there should be a photo category for "junk."

I second that! When I was in the San Gabriel Canyon this past Sunday, I must have taken twenty pictures of rusted, broken junk nestled 'mongst the flora. All of it within a space equal to that of a three car garage.

Great picture, jgoetz! Personally, I like that rusty key out of focus. Keeps it mysterious.

Cool key (pardon the pun) elements to the comp: Lock, chain, and keys. Rust vs Security nice contrast.
