Hi there,
I've been through the basic customisation list, and I've got heaps of code in my CSS box that has helped me remove a lot of things I don't want. There are some things I can't find anwers for though, and I was hoping for a little help ... here are my q's:
On my home page http://brischettoproofing.smugmug.com/ I have my banner and my navbar looking pretty much as I want it. The only thing I would like is to have a still picture centered between my banner and nav bar. There are heaps of posts for a slideshow, but I was hoping to just have one picture. Is this possible?
When you click on wedding proofing, you can see brischettoproofing above the box - is it possible to remove this? Can wedding galleries below it also be removed?
The colour green ... when I mouse over the gallery box, it turns green. I've added all the code I can to remove this colour, but it still doesn't seem to be working. Any suggestions? This is the same when you actually clik on the gallery and it takes you to the photos. When mousing over the image the border turns green, and the numbers are also green too.
Can I also forcibly remove the slideshow option that appears to the right in the gallery?Sorry I've asked a lot ... after this though I think it will be just as I want it.
Thanks for your help!!
Leanne

I think I can help you on the first question - the still image.
Try this -
#my_splash {
width: 500px;
height: 600px;
display: none;
margin: 0 auto;
border: solid 1px #FFF;
background: url(http://brischettoproofing.smugmug.com/********** no-repeat;}
.homepage #my_splash {display: block;}
Find the picture you want and put it in the 'Background url' brackets. You'll have to fiddle with the width and height depending on the image you choose.
On question 2 do a forum search for 'removing the breadcrumb' - there are lots of replies for that one.

Hi :)
I tried that after uploading the image I want to use, but no go. Not sure if I am doing something wrong? I added my image url between the brackets ...
Help? :)

Sorry Leanne, put this in your footer at the top -
<div id="my_splash"></div>
Plus you don't seem to have anything other than private galleries - maybe it has to be in a public gallery to show up?

Hi :)
I uploaded the photo to a public gallery, and I've now got the image box there but still no photo ... I just have this feeling it's got something to do with the url ... I might try adding in another image from my blog, and see if that works ... that way it will tell me it has something to do with the gallery. Argh the joys! :D

Yeah!!!! :D Vay happy now! I have another question for you though ... sorry! Do you know how to move the margin between my nav bar and my image? I tried playing around with the code for the navbar and my image, but it doesn't work ...
Thanks for your help so far, I really appreciate it.

I'll have to have a think about the margin but try logging out first and see if the margin is still not right. Logging out should bunch it all up a bit.
Also here is a good thread for removing the breadcrumb -

Hi there
I'm nearly where I want to be with my new site, but I just want to rid the colour green ...
Here is my site: http://brischettoproofing.smugmug.com/
When you click on wedding proofing, a private gallery shows. If you mouse over the gallery, a green border comes up. How do I change this? Also, when you go into the gallery, the borders on the photos (when mousing over them) sill come up green, and the numbering for the pages is green too. Can anyone tell me how to change all of this?
Thanks heaps!
Leanne

Try this in your CSS for that Green border issue (change the D3D3D3 colour if you don't like it) -
.imgBorder {border: 1px solid #D3D3D3 !important;}
a:hover .imgBorder, .imgBorderOn {border: 1px solid #D3D3D3 !important;}

I think that's the extent of my knowledge on CSS Leanne and all of that was just cut and pasted from various tutorials and advice from experts!
Glad you have nearly cracked it though - it's a nice looking site!
