gulls

I shot these gulls at a boardwalk in Kemah Texas. I used a pop-up flash to make the birds standout against the gray sky. Perhaps I should straighten out the horizon a bit?

I would try it again but not with that background --to me it is too busy

:agree - the wing tips of the first bird have an almost "Rockwell painting" feel to them. Background is an issue and it could use straightening, but the birds are first rate!:thumb

A very good start!:thumb Maybe next time use a wider aperture to soften the bkg.
