Lens help

I have a nOOb question. I just got a 300d and am looking for a cheap zoom lens. I found a used 75-300mm mk III non usm for $90 shipped. My questions are:

Will this work with my camera? I'm assuming all ef lenses work with the 300d?

Is the fact that it's non-usm a bad thing? I think that means it focuses slower and it's a little noiser because of the motor type?

Yes the 75-300mm will work and yes the auto focus is slightly slower and more noisy but for $90 just get it, use it enjoy it and learn from it. The quality is acceptable for all but the most serious photography. And you will have a lens before Andy :rofl
