....but really you don't have to be. Love these forums, love this site. That ol' learning curve just hit a steep section again.

This was taken a while back with a D1X and an 80-200mm AF Nikkor using a polarizer.

Constructive C&C appreciated! Destructive critiquers will be shot! :D

There are some very interesting threads in the Mind your own Business sub-forum to do with watermarking, image theft etc. Bottom line, it's not worth making images less appealing, and sometimes, theft of your images could actually pay off... :wink

As for the image, very nice, could use a little more depth of field, but it already has a nice dreamy look. The front of the left flower is all I'd want more in focus.

Thanks Lord V and robinivich. Yeah I want to try this subject again sometime. I'll check out that forum. BTW, this was published and won a prize in Country mag a while back....that was fun!

Very nice shot. The colours ar beautifully vivid, but without really being too blown out. Good one :thumb

I like the luminosity. Often flower shots like this are either luminous or crisp. You got both. The shadow of the "sexy bits" in the right hand blossom is nice. Well done.

First off let me welcome you to the Dgrin Forum Doctorsoup :D
This is a lovely shot, like natures own Wine Glasses :clap :ivar
How petite they look, the shadows of the overlaping petals,
and the cast shadow of the inner flower make this quite a sensual image.

Beautifully captured :thumb Excellent first post too!

I hope you will continue to share you work Doctorsoup ... Skippy :D

Great shot! Nice vivid colors and good DOF. I'll have to agree with the previous comments re: copyright watermark location. Keep up the good work!

Thanks to everyone for your kind comments! I readily admit I am very inexperienced at the professional side of photography--so I'll take a look at that forum and ask questions over there.

Very pretty and much nicer without the watermark so we can actually appreciate the beauty of your photo. Congrats on the publication and win too!
