Hi,

I'm new here. Trying to figure out a lot of things all at once. The most important thing I am trying to figure out is how to to sell personal use licenses for a whole gallery, not just for individual photos. I took a bunch of photos of a an intermural basketball game and I'd like to sell the images to folks. My initial thought was to sell access to all the photos for one set price. However, I also want them to be able to view the pictures with my watermark and not at full resolution so that they can see what they are buying.

Anyhow, I was wondering if anyone had figured out a solution, or better yet, an elegant solution to this kind of situation.

Thanks,

Peter

http://prphotog.smugmug.comSorry, we don't have the ability to set a price for the whole gallery. You could offer the disc for sale and use Paypal cart for self fulfilment. This might be a way??
Here is how some others have used Paypal cart: http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=29055&highlight=paypal

Thanks for the reply. Would you consider adding it. Doesn't seem like it would be too difficult. Just a password that would open up the size and the save as function for the gallery when the password is used. Or maybe there's a better way to do it. Just add another digital download option "Whole Gallery" to the shopping cart. It would be really nice. I get the sense that SmugMug is open to taking suggestions like this and is a little more adaptable than some services. I'm just arrived from Zenfolio, where they are not even offering any option for selling digital file licenses. Still, they are a good service, I miss the simplicity of the interface over there, a bit.

Any idea if a change like that would be considered? And how long to develop changes like this once they are considered?

Thanks,

Peter
