View Full Version : Thirty second exposure at the beach
I had grabbed the tripod (for a change) and hung around until it got dark enough to do a long exposure of the incoming waves.

Very cool picture Dee. It looks like you're on top of a mountain and those are clouds, not waves.
Thanks Nick! I appreciate your stopping and commenting. Those rocks in the foreground are part of a sea wall. Next time I'll try some different f-stops, I had to leave early. I can easily see how it looks like fog or clouds. :D

Dee, you do take some GREAT photos of the bay area. Nick's right - it does look like clouds with great light. What draws me to this is that it's not a typical shot that you'd see from the vicinity, but it's lovely all the same. I'm glad you have plans to try this again because I'd love to see more. :D

Lovely Shot, Dee. I too would have thought clouds if I'd seen it with no explanation. Beautiful color!!

Great shot, Dee. Looks like cloud cover rather than waves. :thumb
Thank you for the comments everyone. I wasn't even thinking clouds, but you are all right, they do look like I'm looking down and off in the distance over a cloud layer.

Dee, nice shot. I like the misty flow of the water and detail in the rocks in the foreground. Where did you shoot it?
Again nice job
